Asian Conference on Drug Abuse Detoxification & Rehabilitation Treatment,2014

Substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation has been a difficult task for many countries in Asia. Governmental and nongovernmental organizations in the region have made great efforts to repair the harms caused by drug abuse while dealing with constraints imposed by social, economic, and cultural conditions of their own countries. Although their experiences may vary, scholars and practitioners working in the area of substance abuse face a common set of challenges that call for cross-national communication and collaboration in the development of effective treatment strategies. The goal of the conference is to bring together some of the leading experts in substance abuse treatment in Asia to exchange ideas and identify common challenges and solutions. The conference will provide an opportunity to connect with new and old friends alike, and serve as a platform to foster international collaboration in substance abuse treatment and collaboration in Asia.
