Asian Association for Substance Abuse Research held the addiction psychological counselors primary training successfully



On March 21, the Asian Association for Substance Abuse Research held the addiction psychological counselors primary (final) training, which marks the end of the whole training process. This training was divided into three periods in total. (upper) The treatment of addictive behavior and the basic theory and method, (middle) The motivation of crisis intervention and interviews, (final) The cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness prevent recurrence. The Chairman of Asian Association of Substance Abuse Research, professor Spencer Li gave a speech on the opening ceremony, and the Vice Director of Asian Association for Substance Abuse Research, the Chairman of Committee on Psychotherapy for Drug Addiction of the professor Zengzhen Wang taught the basic theory of cognitive behavior therapy, f From addiction relapse after event chain as the main line to teach how to introduce the cognitive behavioral therapy addiction group guidance, how to handle desire, excuse to prevent and reply, how to refuse temptation, how to identify the seemingly unrelated decisions, how to develop the universal response plan. All the knowledge was explained from the basic concept, goal, consulting projects, four parts; Then, Ms. Jing Shen, member of Asian Association for Substance Abuse Research, the Chairman of Committee on Psychotherapy for Drug Addiction, gave lectures on emotion regulation, stress coping, communication and problem solving, and time and money management skills. Finally, Chief Physician Jiang Du gave a lecture on the practice of mindfulness prevention of recurrence. The training was also interspersed with exercises. Our training was conducted by dozens of well-known scholars and experts from mainland and Hong Kong and Macao region, professor Zengzhen Wang, professor Min Zhao, professor Hong Zeng, professor Ni Fan, professor Xiaochu Zhang, professor Tifei Yuan, Jiang Du chief physician, Jing Shen drug psychological experts, Jiang Pu quit addiction specialist, Zhanrui Liu quit addiction specialist (macau), psychological expert Haiwen Wang addiction psychological expert, Dr. (Hong Kong), Dr Zhong Qixia (Hong Kong), Yuan Rongqin international addiction therapist, Peihua Chen registered supervision division, etc.

 

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, this training adopted the combination of online and offline methods. The three phases of training attracted more than 100 students to participate actively. The feedback of the trainees was very satisfied with the content and methods of the training course, and they all believed that they had learned a lot of specific and practical theories, methods and techniques of psychological treatment for addiction. Students say they are eager to bring such training locally. Mr. Pang Liangjun, director of the Alcoholics Department of Anhui Provincial Mental Health Center and member of the Standing Committee of the Asian Association of Drug Abuse, said that this was the first time he had heard of such practical methods and techniques to stop addiction in China, and he hoped that this training would be implemented in Anhui.Those who have completed the training of primary addiction psychological counselors (upper, middle and final) can apply for the examination of the tertiary addiction psychological counselors qualification certificate. The primary training of addiction counselors of the Asian Association of Drug Abuse has met the urgent need of the society for psychological counselors, and cultivated a group of competent, qualified and credible psychological counselors, looking forward to providing effective treatment and services for patients, families and society.
